The debate on Tuesday 21 November, ahead of the plenary vote the following day on the proposal to reduce the use of pesticides, pitted supporters of the ambitious position of the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment against members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Agriculture who tabled amendments aimed at easing the restrictions imposed on farmers in Europe.
