Following a summer marked by record temperatures, as confirmed by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) (see EUROPE B13244A27), representatives of the Council and the European Commission were heard by MEPs on Tuesday 12 September in Strasbourg on the subject of strengthening protection measures against extreme heat waves, floods and forest fires.
