Stricter support for SMEs can improve energy efficiency on a European scale, according to LEAP4SME project

On Tuesday 4 July, the LEAP4SME project, funded by the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, was presented at a conference at the European Parliament devoted to the application of the new energy efficiency directive (see EUROPE B13139A11) for SMEs. It aims to bridge the gap between energy efficiency policies and SMEs.

The project highlights data from the International Energy Agency indicating that SMEs account for at least 13% of global final energy consumption annually....
