Waste management capacity has improved in Malta thanks to EU funding

15/06/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 15 June, the European Commission welcomed the inauguration of the Multi-Material Recovery Facility at Ħal Far in Malta. This Facility will develop ways of collecting waste with the aim of preparation and storage for recycling and export. The aim is to improve Malta’s waste management capacity by diverting recoverable materials from landfills and directing them towards the circular economy.
