New rules to protect European rail passengers come into force

The proposal to introduce new rules on protection and compensation for rail users facing delays, cancellations or discrimination came into force on Wednesday 7 June.

“We need strong and modern rail passenger rights to attract more people to rail and contribute to our climate goals”, commented the Commissioner for Mobility and Transport, Adina Vălean in a statement.
