In a statement adopted on Tuesday 9 May, the EPP group in the European Parliament called for the next NATO summits in 2023 in Vilnius and 2024 in Washington to “s pave the way to extend an invitation to Ukraine to join NATO and that the accession process will start after the war is over and be finalised as soon as possible”.
