On Thursday 4 May, the EU Council adopted two assistance measures under the ‘European Peace Facility’ for the armed forces of the Republic of Moldova, amounting to €40 million, and the Georgian defence forces, amounting to €30 million.
The aim is to help strengthen national security, stability and resilience in the defence sector of these two countries, neighbours of Ukraine and Russia.
