MEPs reject EU Council’s proposal to appoint Martin Klus as a member of Court

22/03/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament’s Committee on Budgetary Control gave an negative opinion, on Wednesday 22 March, on the EU Council’s proposal to appoint Martin Klus as a member of the EU Court of Auditors. The application of the Slovak member was rejected (20 votes against and 3 abstentions). The mandate of the previous Slovak member of the Court of Auditors, Ladislav Balko, expired on 6 May 2022.
