Three EU institutions trying to agree on realistic budget for 2023

The Council of the EU and the European Parliament were still hoping to find common ground, with the help of the European Commission, on the main elements of the EU budget for 2023 in the early evening of Monday 14 November.

On Friday 11 November, the institutions decided to end the negotiations in order to give themselves more time to try to find a compromise on Monday, the last day of the European Parliament/EU Council conciliation period on the 2023 budget.
