The European Commissioner for Cohesion Policy, Elisa Ferreira, clarified on Tuesday 18 October how the 2014-2020 cohesion funds will contribute to the financing of REPowerEU to support SMEs, vulnerable households and the self-employed (see EUROPE B13043A13). A new emergency measure which is part of the European Commission’s proposals to tackle energy prices and ensure security of supply, and which was presented the same day (see EUROPE B13045A1).
