On Wednesday 27 July, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, took note of the provisional results of the constitutional referendum held in Tunisia on 25 July, which was marred by a “low turnout” (see EUROPE B12990A20).
According to preliminary official results, the new Constitution was adopted by 94.6% of the vote, but the turnout was only 30.5%.
