European Commission approves €12 million Maltese aid for Malta International Airport

28/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 28 June, the European Commission approved €12 million of Maltese aid to the owner and operator of Malta International Airport. This measure is intended to compensate the airport operator for damages incurred during the period between 21 March and 30 June 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and travel restrictions.
