Persistent organic pollutants, European Commission consults public on PFOA

18/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 17 May, the European Commission launched a public consultation, which will run until 14 June, on a draft delegated act to protect human health and the environment from perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), its salts, and PFOA-related compounds. This chemical is a persistent organic pollutant (POP) found in many products such as textiles and fire-fighting foams.
