MEPs adopted a resolution on the human rights situation in North Korea on Thursday 7 April. In particular, they condemn the persecution of religious minorities in the country. In the text, MEPs call on North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to “put an end” to these crimes, which include extermination, murder, enslavement, imprisonment, rape and other persecution “on political, religious, racial or gender grounds”.
