Fabrizio Rutteri, future Force Commander of EUNAVFORMed Irini operation

29/03/2022 (Agence Europe) – In the coming days, the European Union is expected to appoint Italian Captain Fabrizio Rutteri as EU Force Commander of the EUNAVFORMed Irini operation from 1 April 2022. The Italian authorities have indicated that Captain Rutteri will be promoted to Rear Admiral upon his appointment as EU Force Commander. He will replace the Greek Commodore Michail Magkos, who has been in the post since 1 October 2021. (CG)
