EU ministers could adopt a general approach on CSRD directive at next ‘Competitiveness’ Council of EU

The French Presidency of the Council of the EU told Member States’ ambassadors to the EU, on Wednesday 2 February, that it was aiming for a general approach on the proposed Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) at the next Competitiveness Council of the EU on 24 February.

The Presidency hopes to make technical progress on the CSRD (see EUROPE B12868A17) so that it can present a proposal for approval to the Committee of Permanent Representatives I on 16 February.
