MEP Dragoş Tudorache warns of impact of social bias on artificial intelligence systems

MEPs on the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a Digital Age (AIDA) met on Tuesday 30 November to discuss how to reduce bias within AI systems (see EUROPE B12812A2).

“Our society has been riddled with prejudice, discrimination and injustice since time immemorial. We do not want to reproduce the prejudices and discrimination that took place within our past or the prejudices of our current societies in the digital world”, said Dragoş Tudorache (Renew Europe, Romania).
