Sixteen news agencies to create a “European newsroom” by mid-2022

29/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced the creation of a ‘European newsroom’ involving 16 news agencies in the summer of 2022, on Monday 29 November at the European News Media Forum (see EUROPE B12775A22). The €1.76 million project, which will fund three full-time equivalents and is led by the German agency DPA, will allow for the joint production of European content and the training of participating journalists in digital technologies and fact checking.
