EFSA recommends early detection of SARS-CoV-2 in mink

18/02/2021 (Agence Europe) – According to a report by EFSA and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), published on Thursday 18 February, the early detection of SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus) should be a priority objective for monitoring activities in EU mink farms. In January 2021, the virus was detected in 400 mink farms in eight EU countries (290 in Denmark, 69 in the Netherlands, 21 in Greece, 13 in Sweden, 3 in Spain, 2 in Lithuania and 1 in France and Italy)....
