Wind turbines generate more electricity than coal for first time in Germany

05/01/2021 (Agence Europe)On Tuesday, 5 January, German think tank Agora Energiewende indicated that, in 2020, German wind turbines supplied more electricity than the country’s coal-fired power plants for the first time. According to this organisation, Germany’s gas, coal, and nuclear power plants supplied only 50% of Germany’s electricity in 2020, a 6% decrease.
