A plenary session dominated by December EU summit, fundamental rights and new post-Covid-19 consumer agenda

Preparations for the forthcoming European Council on 10 and 11 December will be the hottest topic at the European Parliament's plenary session, which opens on Monday 23 November and closes on Thursday.

This session is being held in the aftermath of the European Council meeting which failed to convince Poland and Hungary to lift their veto on the 2021-2027 budget and the post-Covid-19 Economic Recovery Plan (Slovenia will eventually join the majority) (see EUROPE B12605A1).
