Renewables sector employed 1.3 million people in Europe in 2019, according to IRENA

29/09/2020 (Agence Europe) – In 2019, the renewable energy sector employed 1.3 million people in Europe (compared with 1.2 million in 2018) and employed 11.5 million people worldwide (compared with 11 million the previous year), according to a new report published on Tuesday 29 September by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). In Europe, the jobs are mainly linked to solid biomass (30%), wind power (22%), liquid biofuels (18%) and photovoltaic solar energy (around 10%)....
