European EGNOS services begin introduction of first GPS-III satellites

24/08/2020 (Agence Europe) – The first two GPS-III satellites in the US navigation programme have been successfully introduced into EGNOS, the European system for improving GPS accuracy, the European GNSS Agency (GSA) announced in a statement issued on Thursday 20 August. In 2020, the US system began to migrate to the new generation of more accurate GPS-III satellites.
