16/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – On 16 July, the EU Council approved by written procedure the new common list of non-Member States whose residents will be able to return to the EU for leisure travel. The national ambassadors on the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) agreed on 14 July on the withdrawal of Serbia and Montenegro from a first list of 15 non-Member States due to the very sharp increase in the number of infections (see EUROPE 12527/11). The updated list therefore now contains only 12 non-Member States and one country, namely China, which has a reciprocity reservation. Here are the other 12 countries: Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Rwanda, South Korea and Uruguay. The list is reviewed every 2 weeks. (SP)
