European Parliament adopts resolution to strengthen action on chemicals and sustainability

13/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – Two days after a debate with Environment Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius (see EUROPE B12524A14), the European Parliament adopted by a very large majority (653 votes in favour, 17 against and 11 abstentions), on Friday 10 July, a resolution calling on the European Commission to present a new chemical substances strategy that ensures a high level of protection for human and animal health and for the environment(see EUROPE B12517A13).
