European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties confirms new rules on migration statistics

Member States will have to collect more data on immigration, residence permits, illegal entry and returns, in accordance with new rules confirmed on Monday 25 May by members of the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties (LIBE). MEPs and the Council of the EU had already approved these rules at their level (see EUROPE B12452A29).
