European Commission opens public consultation on revised waste shipment rules

On Thursday 7 May, the European Commission launched a second public consultation on the revision of the EU Waste Shipment Regulation (1013/2006).

With this review, the European Commission intends to ensure that the EU waste shipment policy encourages the circular economy by facilitating and “preparing for re-use and recycling of waste in the EU”.
