Jean Richard de la Tour becomes Advocate General

11/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – The Representatives of the Governments of the Member States appointed Frenchman Jean Richard de la Tour as Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the EU on Wednesday 11 March; this followed the death of Yves Bot, the previous French Advocate General. Mr Richard's appointment will take effect from 23 March 2020 and will be for the remainder of Mr Bot's term of office, which runs until 6 October 2024.
