European unemployment figures at lowest level since 2000, according to Eurostat

30/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – The unemployment rate in the 28 EU Member States was 6.2% in December 2019, the lowest rate since the start of the monthly series on unemployment in the Union in January 2000, according to a release issued by the EU Statistical Office on Thursday 30 January. The euro area reports an unemployment rate of 7.4%. Disparities between Member States remain unchanged.
