Europe's credibility as a global player depends on its success in its own neighbourhood, Radman warns

The Croatian Foreign Minister, Gordan Grlić Radman, said on Tuesday 21 January that "the credibility of the European Union as a global player (should first) pass a success test in its immediate neighbourhood".

Before the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, where he presented the priorities of the Croatian Presidency of the EU Council (see EUROPE B12398A3), the Minister unsurprisingly focused on the EU's immediate neighbours, in particular the Western Balkans.
