European foreign ministers all agreed, on Monday 9 December, in Brussels to engage in a review of the 2007 EU/Africa Strategy with African partners, with a view to further deepening the strategic partnership between the two continents.
The discussion remained very general. Its purpose was to prepare the European Council of 12 and 13 December, which will give the Commission and the European External Action Service a mandate to work on this future partnership (see EUROPE B12385A2).
