EU awaits clarification of its ambassador’s expulsion decision in Cotonou

02/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – The EU ambassador to Benin, Germany’s Olivier Nette, was summoned by the authorities to leave the country before 1st December, returned to Brussels on Friday evening, 29 November. He was accused by Patrice Talon's government of interfering in internal affairs. The Minister, government spokesperson, had invoked “activities considered to be subversive to our country”.
