Resumption of beef exports from some EU countries to Republic of Korea

The Republic of Korea has lifted its 20-year-old restrictions on imports of beef and beef products from some EU Member States, the European Commission welcomed in a statement issued on Friday 27 September.

Producers in Denmark and the Netherlands are the first to be able to resume exports to the Republic of Korea. Phil Hogan, European Commissioner for Agriculture, said that after confirming access for Danish and Dutch operators, "I hope that it won't be long before operators in other EU...
