Commission undertakes to remedy shortcomings identified by Court of Auditors regarding cross-border healthcare

29/08/2019 (Agence Europe) – In a written reply submitted on 23 August to MEP Sophie in't Veld (Renew Europe, Netherlands), the European Commission states that it has taken note of the European Court of Auditors' report on the limits of EU rules on cross-border healthcare (see EUROPE 12268/5). It undertakes to agree with EU auditors on an action plan with target dates for the implementation of the Court of Auditors' recommendations. It added that as immediate actions, it intended to publish a toolbox and a patient manual to support the work of the national contact points. (SPj)
