European Parliament Committee will elect its Chair and Vice-Chairs on 10 July

The European Parliament's Committee on Agriculture will hold its inaugural meeting on 10 July to elect its President and Vice-Presidents (NEW).

As the 'cordon sanitaire' should be applied, the Chair of this committee will either be held by the S&D group or the EPP group.The name of the Italian Paolo De Castro (S&D) has been widely circulated to head this committee, but the latest news is that, given that an Italian has been elected President of the European Parliament, it is the EPP Group...
