04/07/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 4 July, the European Parliament elected its five Quaestors responsible for administrative matters directly linked to Members. The five candidates proposed were elected by acclamation, as the number of candidates did not exceed the number of vacancies. By electronic means, the MEPs then voted to establish the order of precedence and elected Anne Sander (EPP, France) as 1st Quaestor with 407 votes, Monika Benova (S&D, Slovakia) as 2nd Quaestor with 391 votes, David Casa (EPP, Malta) as 3rd Quaestor with 391 votes, Gilles Boyer (RE, France) as 4th Quaestor with 317 votes and Karol Karski (ECR, Poland) as 5th Quaestor with 261 votes. With the election of the Quaestors and after the election of the Parliament President and 14 Vice-Presidents the day before (see EUROPE 12288/1), the Parliament Bureau is finally complete. (MF)
