Luxembourger Nicolas Schmit would like to become the future Commissioner for Social Affairs

21/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The newly elected MEP and former Luxembourg Minister for Labour and Employment, Nicolas Schmit, confirmed on Luxembourg radio station 100.7 on Wednesday 19 June that he wants the Social Affairs portfolio in the next European Commission. Nicolas Schmit, a socialist from the Luxembourg Socialist Workers Party (POSL), should, according to a coalition agreement, be the next commissioner from Luxembourg. This is not his first attempt.
