Valdis Dombrovskis, nominated as candidate for a second term as Commissioner

11/06/2019 (Agence Europe) – The current Vice-President of the Commission in charge of the Euro, Financial Stability and Financial Services, Valdis Dombrovskis, announced on Tuesday 11 June that his government had nominated him as Latvia's European Commissioner in the next Commission. “I will do my outmost [sic] to live up to the trust that the government of Latvia and Latvian voters have shown in me.
