EU Council wants to be closely involved in negotiations on transatlantic agreement on access to electronic evidence

Member States' ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) are preparing on Wednesday 22 May to endorse the EU Council decision authorising the European Commission to open negotiations in view of an agreement between the European Union and the United States of America on cross-border access to electronic evidence for judicial cooperation in criminal matters.
