European leaders will approve draft socio-economic policy recommendation for euro area

20/03/2019 (Agence Europe) – The Heads of State or Government of the European Union will endorse on Friday 22 March the draft recommendation on socio-economic policy in the euro area for 2019, which the European Commission unveiled in November 2018 (see EUROPE B12142A2). In particular, it points to the need to deepen Economic and Monetary Union and complete banking union in the euro area and for Member States to restore their budgetary margins in times of economic growth.
