Annual inflation rate in euro area up to 1.5% in February

01/03/2019 (Agence Europe) – The annual inflation rate in the Euro area in February was 1.5%, according to the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat). This is an increase of 0.1 percentage points compared to the rate observed in January (see EUROPE 12200). With regard to the components of this inflation, energy prices increased the most between February 2018 and 2019, by 3.5%, followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (+2.4%), services (+1.3%) and non-energy industrial goods...
