Following a third round of negotiations held in Brussels from 10 to 14 December, the European Commission said on Monday 17 December that the negotiations on an EU-Tunisia free trade agreement had led to "in-depth discussions on each chapter".
Launched in October 2015, talks to conclude a deep and comprehensive free trade agreement (DCFTA) had stalled before resuming in May 2018. At that time, both parties reiterated their ambition to reach an agreement in 2019.
