EU welcomes vote of Swiss people on primacy of international law

26/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission welcomed “the vote of the Swiss people” on Sunday 25 November on maintaining the superiority of international law over Swiss law, its spokesman Margaritis Schinas reacted on 26 November. This vote “maintains legal clarity when it comes to the status of international law and sends an important signal that Switzerland wishes to remain a credible international partner”.
