European Parliament gives green light for financial support for young job-seekers and redundant workers in Portugal

23/10/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 23 October on the recommendation of José Manuel Fernandes (EPP, Portugal), the Parliament approved a grant of 4.66 million euros from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund by a large majority (575 votes in favour, 77 against, 8 abstentions) to help 730 workers in the clothing industry, mainly women, made redundant by the Ricon Group and Têxtil Gramax International, as well as giving 730 young Portuguese nationals under 30 years of age access...
