Member states agree on extending EUCAP Sahel Niger mandate

05/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 5 September, the ambassadors of the 28 member states agreed to prolong the mandate of the mission for strengthening EUCAP Sahel Niger civil capabilities until the end of September 2020, a European source says.  The Council has still to endorse this decision.  The mission had been extended on 13 July this year until 30 September 2018.  Headed by Frank Van der Mueren of Belgium, it aims to provide advice and training to help Nigerian authorities...
