Brian Hayes elected vice-chair of European Parliament's economic affairs committee

04/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 3 September, the members of the committee on economic and monetary affairs of the European Parliament (ECON) elected MEP Brian Hayes (EPP, Ireland) by acclamation to take over from Markus Ferber (EPP, Germany) in the position of vice-chair of the ECON committee. This appointment follows Ferber's appointment, on 29 August, to the position of coordinator of the EPP group, which subsequently announced that he was to step down from the vice-chairmanship....
