A study commissioned by the European Parliament's civil liberties committee, and published on Friday 24 August, proposes tabling "a bespoke legal agreement" to resolve the conundrum of personal data transfers after the UK leaves the EU.
The study reviews the different legal mechanisms available for the transfer of personal data between the EU and UK after Brexit, both for general data handling activities and for the handling of data for repressive purposes.
