The annual inflation rate in the Eurozone stood at 2% in June, corresponding to an increase of 0.1% compared to May(see EUROPE 12042), according to figures announced by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Wednesday 18 July.
This equates to a 0.7% increase compared to June 2017. The same rate in the European Union as a whole is also 2.0%, unchanged from the previous month but up on June 2017, when it stood at 1.5%.
