Gordon Sondland presents credentials to Donald Tusk

09/07/2018 (Agence Europe) – The next US ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland, presented his credentials to European Council President Donald Tusk on Monday 9 July.  Sondland had been confirmed by the Senate on 28 June and appointed by the American president the following day.  A businessman, Sondland is the founder and CEO of the Provenance hotels.  The US mission to the EU has been headed by Adam Schub since January 2017, when Anthony Gardner left the post.
