The fact that the EU has not yet finalised its negotiation mandate for the future partnership with the group of 79 ACP (Africa, Caribbean, Pacific) countries when the Cotonou Agreement expires in February 2020 did not prevent the joint ACP-EU Council of Ministers having an exchange of views on this subject in Lomé on 1 June(see EUROPE 12031).
On the EU side, the subject is on the agenda of the meeting of European ambassadors to the European Union (Coreper) on 7 June, but "little progress...
